Beloved wife, loving mother
Roberta Jean Thornton Sutherland, 82, of West Alexander, peacefully passed away Monday, September 30, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late James Robert Sutherland; loving mother of Leigh Ann (Randy) Quinlan of Venetia, Nancy (Brian) Bentley of Reston, Va., and Becky (Derrick) Isackson of Redmond, Wash.; caring grandmother of Kevin and Megan Quinlan, Sarah, Aaron and Morgan Bentley and Axel and Henry Isackson; sister of James C. Thornton of Proctorville, Ohio, and the late Robert F. Thornton Jr.; and daughter of the late Robert F. and Ada S. Neimeyer Thornton Sr.
Mrs. Sutherland resided in West Alexander for over 50 years. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and all sports.
She was a member of West Alexander Presbyterian Church, Golden Age Club and the Rebekahs.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, in West Alexander Presbyterian Church, 108 Main Street, West Alexander, PA 15376. Interment will be private.
