U.S. Army veteran was world traveler
Thomas E. O’Neil, 77, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, died Friday, October 4, 2013.
Born June 19, 1936, in Cecil, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret O’Neil.
Mr. O’Neil attended St. Genevieve Elementary and Immaculate Conception and Canonsburg high schools. After serving a tour of duty in the U.S. Army, he attended California State College, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Mexico, and obtained a master’s degree from West Virginia University.
After 28 years of employment with McGuffey and Carlynton school districts, he traveled extensively throughout the world.
Mr. O’Neil is survived by his sister, Mary.
Deceased are his brothers, Jack, James and Leroy.
Mr. O’Neil’s estate was left to various charities.
There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements by Auer Cremation Services of Pa. Inc.
