Member of Immaculate Conception Church

Patrick Bayer of Tallahassee, Fla., former resident of Washington and member of Immaculate Conception Church, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

He graduated from Washington High School in 1976 and worked for Cameron Coca-Cola, while earning a degree in forestry management from Davis & Elkins College.

Mr. Bayer spent most of his career as an agricultural mycologist in mushroom production and agricultural chemistry.

He was an active member of the men’s choir at his church and an avid outdoorsman.

Mr. Bayer leaves behind his wife, Wanda, and their children, Adam and Megan of Tallahassee, and five siblings and their families.

Deceased are his parents, Dr. Joseph and Billie Bayer, and a brother, Thomas.

Services will be private.
