Daniel T. Kapis Jr., 64, of Canonsburg, died Friday, October 11, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born October 4, 1949, in Washington, a son of Daniel and Alberta Schultz Kapis.

Mr. Kapis was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg, where he served as an usher, and was a member of the Catholic Men’s Club for many years.

Prior to his retirement, he worked for Canon-McMillan School District and Good Will Industries.

Surviving are a brother, John Kapis, and his wife, Bobbi, of Canonsburg; two sisters, Christine Kapis of Bentleyville and Marilyn Turner of Kansas City, Mo.; three nieces, Sarah and Casey Kapis and Clare Turner; a nephew, Christopher Turner and his wife, Lisa; and several cousins.

Deceased are his parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director.

Service information will be published when arrangements are finalized. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
