Jim R. Shuckhart, 55, of Carmichaels, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born Sunday, November 17, 1957, in Uniontown, a son of Betty Skiles Shuckhart of Carmichaels and the late William Roger Shuckhart.
Mr. Shuckhart was a social member of Cumberland Township American Legion Post 400, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 and Knights of Columbus, all of Carmichaels.
He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
Mr. Shuckhart worked as a sandblaster for R.P.’s Sandblasting and Pressure Washing.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a sister, Patricia R. (James) White of Carmichaels; three brothers, Terry R. (Linda) Shuckhart of Carmichaels, Clyde R. Shuckhart of Carmichaels and Charles R. (Amy) Shuckhart of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, William R. Shuckhart Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 17, with Chaplain Larry Sutton officiating.
