Member of St. Mary Parish

John E. “Bo” McIntyre, 82, of Cecil, died Monday, October 14, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born September 22, 1931, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late James and Agnes Reddinger McIntyre.

Mr. McIntyre was a member of St. Mary Parish, Cecil American Legion, Cuddy Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cuddy Sportsman’s Club, Masonic Lodge in Oakdale, Camp Blyson in Clarion and was life member and former fire police with Cecil 3 Volunteer Fire Company.

He retired as a maintenance employee for Asbury Heights in Mt Lebanon. He worked at Woltz and Wind Ford, Anderson Equipment, and W.T. Kratovil and was a bus driver for Canon-McMillan School District.

Surviving are two sons, John Wayne (John Rucker) McIntyre of Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert McIntyre of Belle Vernon; a daughter, Christine McIntyre of Canonsburg; and two grandchildren, Paul A. Schneider of Canonsburg and Stephanie N. Schneider of South Fayette.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Irvine McIntyre, in March 2013; twin sister Jean Patterson Fee; and three brothers, James, Robert, and Raymond McIntyre.

Mr. McIntyre enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, eating good food and drinking beer.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 19, followed by a Christian Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cecil, with Father Stan Gregorek, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Cecil.
