Jeanette A. Seman, 75, of Meadow Lands, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in Southmont Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington, following an extended illness.
She was born June 29, 1938, in Erie, a daughter of the late John W. and Jean Bednarowicz Hollis.
Mrs. Seman was a graduate of Erie Academy and Bradford School of Business with a merchandising degree.
She attended the Central Assembly of God Church and enjoyed flea markets and garage sales.
Mrs. Seman was the former owner of Yesterdays Clothes and Treasures in Houston and Meadow Lands, for many years. She had been employed by the City Mission to set up and organize seven resale shops in Washington, Greene and Fayette Counties.
On October 16, 1960, she married Michael Seman, who passed away June 27, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, John Michael Seman of Meadow Lands and Robert J. (Lorie) Seman of Avella; a sister, JoAnn Gerardine of Altoona; four grandchildren, Emily (Zach) McDonald, Katie Seman, Meri Seman and Addison Seman; and three nephews, Gary, Timothy and Eric Gerardine.
She leaves behind her dog, Pepper.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
