Andrew Michael Vernau, 19, of Houston, died Thursday, October 17, 2013, in the company of loving family and friends.
He was born December 17, 1993, in Pittsburgh, the dear son of Elizabeth Buckley Vernau of Houston and the late Brian Vernau.
Mr. Vernau was a 2012 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was a student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sisters, Stephanie Curtis and husband David of North Carolina, and Kellie Vernau of Houston; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Farmerie Vernau of Canonsburg; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased, in addition to his father, are his maternal grandparents, Francis and Penny Gibson Buckley, and paternal grandfather, Tom Vernau.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director. Family and friends are asked to meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, in New Hope Church, 110 Belmont Avenue, Canonsburg, for services with Pastor Nathan Miller officiating.
