Avid photographer enjoyed family time
Daniel Joseph Passo, 54, of Washington, died unexpectedly Friday, October 18, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
He was born April 5, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late Daniel and Christina Hennick Passo.
Mr. Passo was a graduate of Trinity High School.
When he was younger, he had been an active member of St. Hilary Catholic Church, and most recently had attended Central Assembly of God.
Mr. Passo worked as a laborer at Industrial Gasket and Shim Industries for 28 years.
An avid photographer, he loved soccer and the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking in Colorado and Big Bend National Park in Texas. He especially loved watching his daughters playing soccer and dancing. His daughters and his family were his life.
On April 24, 1999, he married Conniejo Straka, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Margaret “Maggie” Bedillion and Brianna Bedillion, both of Washington; three sisters, Christina (Joseph) Tomecsko of Houston; Donna (William) Walker, of Flat Rock, Mich.; and Mary (Michael) Jestat of Rockwood, Mich.; his father-in-law, Andrew Straka; sister-in-law, Patricia (Doug) Cook; six nieces, Jennifer (Brian) Leichliter, Heather (Chris) Lada, Gail (Paul) Marks, Shelbey (J.D.) Hunter, Michaela Jestat and Melissa Cook; three nephews, Jonathan Tomecsko and Kevin and Brian Cook; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, October 22, with the Rev. Steve Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
