Caregiver resided in Slovan

Roberta Jane Tustin, 79, of Slovan, died Thursday, October 17, 2013, in her home.

She was born December 14, 1933, in Jefferson, a daughter of the late Howard E. and Lena Martin Knisley.

Mrs. Tustin was a caregiver for the elderly.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Slovan Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of American Civil Defense Association.

Surviving are her children, Fred (Cheryl) Tustin Jr. of Grand Island, Neb., Evelyn (Jim) Seim of Grand Island, Susan Louise (Tom) Adams of Weirton, W.Va., Diane (George) Butts of Connellsville and Robbie Marie Allison of Weirton, W.Va.; stepson Joe Tustin of Burgettstown; brothers William Knisley of Paris, John Knisley of Follansbee, W.Va. and Charles Knisley of Burgettstown; sisters Patricia Vandermark of Circleville, Ohio, and Susan Spence of Chester, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her husband, Fred Tustin Sr.; a son, Sonny Tustin; a stepdaughter, Irene Porter; a granddaughter; a brother; and four sisters.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, October 24, in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. Other arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
