Retired PennDOT equipment operator
Dennis R. Hayden, 62, of Brownsville, died Monday, October 21, 2013, in his home.
Born April 3, 1951, in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Vernon and Catherine Stangroom Hayden.
A resident of Brownsville, Mr. Hayden was a member of Full Gospel Church in Charleroi, a retired equipment operator from PennDOT. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Fredericktown American Legion Post 391.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Fike Hayden, with whom he had just celebrated 41 years of marriage in September; son Brian Hayden of Webster; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Bill Karolewics of Brownsville and Kimberly and Joseph Rimsky of W. Elizabeth; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, James and Susan Hayden of Clarksville, Harry and Melissa Hayden of Webster and Joe Hayden of Webster; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dolly and Lee Evans of Oregon, Sophia and Rick Kaylor of Webster and Susan Hayden of Webster; four grandchildren, Joseph Rimsky, Ashley Rimsky, Zachary Hayden and Brandon Karolewics; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Vernon Hayden.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, in the funeral home with Pastor Mel Hileman of Full Gospel Church, Charleroi, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
