Allyn Willner
Wonderful man helped others
Allyn “Calvin” Willner, 61, passed away peacefully Monday, October 21, 2013, after battling cancer for two years.
He was a longtime resident of Washington.
Mr. Willner was a true artist in carpentry, was generous and felt a special rapport with the young and elderly. He was a wonderful man who helped others and never expected anything in return.
Surviving are a brother, Glen “Boo” Willner; and nephew Travis Willner.
Deceased are his parents, Kathleen “Beans” Willner and Allyn “Gigbo” Willner Sr.
During his illness, he found great joy with his little friend, four-year-old Kayleigh Earnest.
All of the people who loved him will remember him forever in their hearts.
Words that he lived by were, “The most wasted of all days is one without laughter,” by E.E. Cummings.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, in William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township, where a blessing service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
