Clara Eugenia Keeling

Clara Eugenia Keeling, 91, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
She was born December 2, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of Giro Lucatorto and Theresa Ascolilio Lucatorto.
Mrs. Keeling was a graduate of Washington High School. She worked in a hand grenade factory during World War II and later worked as an aide in Western State School and Hospital for 20 years.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, Alpine-Vittoria Lodge, Senior Citizens Center and Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
On November 19, 1942, she married George J. Keeling Jr., who died October 10, 2002.
Surviving are a son, Denis (Susan) Keeling, and three daughters, Carol Ann Keeling, Rose Marie “Pokey” Keeling and Janice Urbanik, all of Washington; seven grandchildren, Roxanne (Donald) Patrick, Rhonda (Billy) Weaver, Renee Williams, Robyn (Doug) Toland, Robert Keeling, Billy (Jessica) Urbanik and Georgia (Andy) Ullom; 12 great-grandchildren, Allison Vitte, Ashley Weaver, Ryan Williams, Samantha Moore, Chase Toland, Caleb Toland, Stephen Patrick, Chelsea Patrick, Aidan Urbanik, Jacob Urbanik, Emma Ullom and Cole Kasula; and a great-great-grandchild, Eli Vitte.
Deceased are a son, George J. Keeling III, who died in infancy; two brothers, Dominic and Frank Lucatorto; four sisters, Josephine Lombardo, Jenny Balzama, Eleanor Felice and Evelyn Lanard; and a son-in-law, Bill Urbanik.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, October 25, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
