Treasured family time
Thelma E. Antill, 95, of Washington, died Monday, October 21, 2013, in the home of her daughter in Houston.
She was born May 4, 1918, in Grafton, W.Va., a daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Dornberger Carter.
Following graduation from Immaculate Conception High School, she first worked as a clerk in Authrieth’s Dollar Store, and, prior to her retirement, for Reichert’s Furniture store.
Mrs. Antill treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards and the daily number.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ault Maccerola of Houston; three grandchildren, Michael (Tracy) Ault, Jon (Cynthia) Ault and Rachele (Skip) Morgan, all of Washington; five great-grandchildren, Camryn and Luc Morgan, Nathaniel Taylor and Chloe and Abigaile Ault; and Jerry Ault of Washington, a close friend.
Deceased are two brothers, Ralph and Alvin Carter.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, funeral director. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 25, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington, with the Rev. Thomas O’Neil as celebrant. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
