Marine Corp. vet was avid outdoorsman
Adrian H. “Shine” Thielet, 73, of Lawrence, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in his home.
He was born September 5, 1940, in Canonsburg, a son of George and Bessie Chytil Thielet.
Mr. Thielet was Catholic.
On February 5, 1966, he married his loving wife, Madeline Refosco Thielet, who survives.
Mr. Thielet served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a yard foreman for Dick Corporation for 42 years. He was a member of Laborers Union 1058.
Mr. Thielet was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his son, Larry Thielet of Lawrence; his daughter, Michelle Thielet of Lawrence; two sisters, Joan Demski and Georgene Siders, both of Lawrence; four grandchildren, Zachery Jarecki, Zane Jarecki, Travis Thielet and Sydney Thielet; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Mary DeGrave.
Friends will be received from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director. Services will be private. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, with full military rites accorded by Veterans of Foreign War Post 191 and American Legion Post 902.
