U.S. Navy veteran
Donald N. Young, 86, of Monongahela, passed away October 19, 2013, in Kindred Care Hospital.
He was born in Washington, a son of the late Robert W. and Stella Wilson Young.
Mr. Young was a graduate of Trinity High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked for CSX Railroad.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, where he was an elder and member of the church choir.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Patricia Haines Young; three children, Linda West, Richard Young and Paula (Charles) Wood; two grandsons; a granddaughter-in-law; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley, and husband Richard Henry. He is also survived my many nieces-in-law and nephews-in-law.
Deceased are a brother, Robert G. Young, and his wife, Kate.
Mr. Young donated his body to science at West Virginia University. Services were private.
