Lifelong Canonsburg resident enjoyed fishing

Robert E. Pecharka, 59, of Canonsburg, North Strabane Township, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in his home.

He was born May 9, 1954, in Canonsburg, a son of the late George J. and Ruth J. Nestor Pecharka Sr.

Mr. Pecharka lived in the Canonsburg area his entire life and was Catholic.

He was a machinist for Hallmore Machine in Bethel Park.

Mr. Pecharka had been a member of the AGA, Slovak Club and Jednota and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Surviving are two sons, Robert E. Pecharka Jr. and Thomas George Pecharka (Alyssa Schillo), both of Canonsburg two stepsons, Brian (Angel) Krenzelak of Eighty Four and Michael Krenzelak of McKees Rocks. Also surviving are six brothers, George J. (Janet) Pecharka Jr. of Meadow Lands, John Pecharka of Houston, David (Kathy) Pecharka of Robinson Township, Richard Pecharka of Canonsburg, Christopher (Tracy) Pecharka of Dana Point, Calif., and Joseph (Carolyn) Pecharka of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 25, in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
