Louise Kiger Bonar Behrens, 101, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013.

She was born October 20, 1912, on the Reed Farm in Ohio County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Cephas and Hannah Kiger.

Mrs. Behrens retired after 27 years as a switchboard operator and mail clerk for West Liberty State College.

For more than 50 years, she was a member and past matron of Order of the Eastern Star chapter 51 and Bethany chapter 74. She was also a member of Triadelphia United Methodist Church.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her first husband, Willis E. Bonar; her second husband, Lloyd E. Behrens; two sisters, Mary M. Creighton and Ida M. Stollar; and six brothers, her twin Louis, William, John, Irvin, and twins Sherman and infant Furman Kiger.

She is survived by a daughter, Catherine L. Billie (Robert) of St. Ignatius, Mont.; a granddaughter, Tammy Miller of St. Ignatius; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Miller of Pablo, Mont.; two great-great-granddaughters, Cecily and Paige; several nieces and nephews; and beloved friends throughout the Wheeling area.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 31. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Behrens to donor’s choice.
