Eva Marjorie Zorich
Known by family as sweet, loving, trusting
Eva Marjorie Zorich, 84, of Waynesburg, Morgan Township and formerly of Carnegie, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born December 3, 1928, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Wilbur L. and Opal Taylor Knight.
Mrs. Zorich was a graduate of Jefferson High School, where she was active in softball boosters while her children were attending. She enjoyed growing orchids, flower gardening, cross-stitching, crocheting, watching cooking shows and the company of her cat, Tweets. Mrs. Zorich was known by her family to be a sweet, loving and trusting person.
On October 14, 1951, she married Eli Mike Zorich, who died September 24, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Eli M. Zorich and his wife Beverly, of Oakdale; a daughter, Eva M. Zorich and her partner, Deborah Monnich of Jefferson; two grandchildren, Christopher Zorich and his wife Katy of Mt. Lebanon and Jordan Hess of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sons, Edward M. Zorich and Eric M. Zorich.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7. Pastor John Rich Dorean will officiate. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
