Alexander M. Kairush Jr., 77, of Washington, died Monday, September 2, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
He was born February 16, 1936, in Westland, a son of Alexander and Mary Revak Kairush.
Mr. Kairush worked as a mailroom clerk at Bayer Corp. and locker room manager at several country clubs in the area.
He was a 1955 graduate of Hickory High School.
He had served with the National Guard, and he enjoyed golf, farming and coaching baseball and football.
On October 27, 1956, he married Marlene Haye, his wife of 56 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three children, Karen Kutschbach (David) of Upper St. Clair and Michael Kairush (Suzy) and Mark Kairush (Beth), both of Canonsburg; and four grandchildren, Ryan Serrino, Melissa Gebhardt and Marcus and Taylor Kairush.
A daughter, Karla M. Tucker, is deceased.
Friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, September 10, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K.
