1923 – 2013
Mildred Zibert, 90, of Burgettstown, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, in Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon.
She was born August 2, 1923, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Bistarkey Kavchak.
A member of Cross Creek Presbyterian Church and Burgettstown Senior Citizens Center, she enjoyed knitting, baking and, especially, spending time with her grandchildren.
In 1945, she married John Zibert Sr., who passed away January 16, 2006.
Surviving are four sons, John Zibert Jr.and wife Shirley of Canonsburg, Ronald Zibert of Burgettstown, Michael Zibert and wife Donna of Saxonburg and James Zibert and wife Cheryl Jean of McDonald; five grandchildren, Kiley Ann, Laina Joyce, Katlyn, Hannah and James Micheal Zibert; and a sister, Matilda Olshinsky.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter-in-law, Joyce Ann Zibert; and several brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, officiated by the Rev. William Rhomer. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Asbury Heights, 700 Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15243, and/or Burgettstown Senior Citizens Association, 200 Senior Way, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
