Former Weirton Steel employee
Mary Ann Rujak, 87, of Weirton, W.Va., passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, in Brightwood Center, Follansbee, W.Va.
She was born February 21, 1926, a daughter of the late Ambrose “Lefty” McCaffery and Ilah Robertson McCaffery.
Also deceased are her husband, Andrew S. Rujak, who died September 9, 2009, and a brother, William McCaffery.
Mrs. Rujak worked in the tin mill payroll department of Weirton Steel Co. until her marriage and later served as a full-time homemaker and mother.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Surviving are a son, Philip of Weirton; daughters Melinda (David) Fuchs of Coldwater, Mich., and Andrea (Nick) Fusco of Charleston, S.C.; cousin (but more like a sister) Marjorie Cowden of Eldersville; very special friends Denise (Denis) Palcic of Weirton and Valerie Santangelo of Follansbee; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at noon Wednesday, September 11, in St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton, with the Rev. Larry Dorsch presiding.
