Betty Levers, 85, of Washington, formerly of Meadow Lands, died Monday, September 9, 2013, in Canonsburg Hospital.

She was born October 10, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of the late Stewart and Sarah Hawkins Riggans.

Mrs. Levers was, at one time, a waitress at Hollywood Barbeque, and was also a homemaker.

She was a member and Past Noble Grand Matron and Past Worthy Matron of Lady Hogue Rebekah Lodge 102 O.E.S.

On February 14, 1948, in Washington, she married Robert O. Levers, who died March 6, 2007.

Surviving are two sons, Robert E. Levers of Bentleyville and John S. Levers of Washington; a daughter, Darlene Kay (Gerald) Patterson of Houston; three grandsons, Brandon and Shawn (Heather) Buckles and Josh Levers; and three great-grandchildren, Anita Levers and Jacob and Emma Buckles.

Deceased are a brother, Clarence Riggans, and three sisters, Ruth Mayles, Nellie Wolford and Clara Fraley.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 12.
