Pauline Porchiran, 96, of Slovan, died Friday, September 13, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born February 15, 1917, in Smith Township, a daughter of the late John and Anna Dobransky Pescho.

Having lost her spouse, Michael Porchiran, at a young age on November 12, 1947, she was left with three daughters, and diligently went to work as a waitress, housecleaner or even ironing shirts to support her family.

Mrs. Porchiran was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown.

She was an avid baker and seamstress. She enjoyed many activities, but what brightened her life most of all, was spending time with her family.

Surviving are her two daughters, Marlene (John) Gobleck of Joffre and Joann Testa of Burgettstown; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Mary Denny of Weirton, W.Va., and Dorothy Liptak of Broadview Heights, Ohio.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Dolores Moore; two grandsons, Michael Moore and Teddy Testa; siblings Andy, John, Mike, George and Paul Pescho, Helen Tope, Irene Pradetto and Annie Boulson; and a longtime companion, Guiseppe “Peppino” Cullari.
