Janet May Shrader Wade, 60, of Washington, died Friday, September 13, 2013, after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer, in Washington Hospital.
She was born September 26, 1952, in Washington, a daughter of Leroy Shrader and Thelma Snyder Shrader.
Mrs. Wade worked as a cashier at Shop ‘N Save in Canonsburg for many years until she became sick.
She loved to play bingo and dartball at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Canonsburg. She also enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia (Kenny) Shrader; two sons, Jason (Amanda) Shrader and Shawn (Teasa) Tarr; four sisters, Caroline Chadwick, Thelma Chadwick, Laura Ealy and Darla Miller; 14 grandchildren, Christopher, Ethan, Kenny, Nathan, Austin, Shaylee, Mylee, William, Megan, Shawn, Paul, Bradliey, Brian and Braylan; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a grandson, William Austin Shrader; two sisters, Katherine Wade and Sandy Bitz; and a brother, Norman Shrader.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 17. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
