Loretta L. Crouse

Loretta L. “Pat” Crouse, 80, of Canton Township, formerly of Prosperity, died Monday, September 16, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born November 16, 1932, in Flemington, W.Va., a daughter of Dennis and Ruth Caplinger Whitehair.
Mrs. Crouse had formerly been a cafeteria worker for McGuffey School District.
She served on the Washington County Democratic Committee representing Morris Township. She also was a member of Morris Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Mrs. Crouse enjoyed doing crafts.
On March 28, 1954, she married William D. Crouse, who died Nov. 22, 1993. She and her late husband were active in Concord Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three children, William D. Crouse Jr. of Washington, George Randy (Kathie) Crouse of Avella and Crystal (James) Culbertson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Robert (Eleanor) Whitehair of Geneva, Ohio; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Culbertson, Todd and Shawn Kearns; five great-grandchildren, Shelby and Jeff Barnes, Jesse, Dillon and Bryant Kearns; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Tamara Crouse; and two sisters, Geneva Grace Whitehair and Buelah Thompson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, funeral director, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 20, with Pastor Russ Baird officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
