Ralph Arthur Waychoff, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, September 19, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born December 2, 1930, in Washington, a son of the late Lindsay and Thelma Davidson Waychoff.
Mr. Waychoff was a 1949 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was Presbyterian.
Mr. Waychoff worked for 42 ½ years as a furnace helper for Jessop Steel Corp.
A fan of country music, he enjoyed traveling and spent his winters in Florida for many years.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 22 and a social member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
On April 17, 1949, he married Jean Marie Berg, who died January 20, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph L. (Carol) Waychoff of Washington and Richard A. (Pamela) Waychoff of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Donna Jean Waychoff of Washington; two sisters, Ruth (Gerald) Stein and Betty (Bob) Hodgens, both of Washington; five grandchildren, Tammy Dubina, Tina Rogers, David Waychoff, Marissa Roberts and Michael Waychoff; seven great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Pratt.
Deceased is a brother, Harold Waychoff.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, September 22, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Upper Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo Village.
