Barbara A. Scharding, 68, of Finleyville, died Friday, September 20, 2013, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills.
She was born October 31, 1944, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late John and Opal Kelly Gabauer.
Mrs. Scharding was employed in the housekeeping department at Overlook Green Personal Care Home, Whitehall.
She was good-hearted, caring and fun-loving and enjoyed her job and making people laugh.
Mrs. Scharding was Catholic.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald Scharding; a daughter, Dana Adametz of Finleyville; four sisters, Shirley Zaya of Glassport, Linda McKeever of Finleyville, Emily Gabauer of Library and Leona Knisley of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a son, Dennis Scharding, and two brothers, Elmer “Bucky” and Robert Gabauer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where a blessing service will be held at noon Wednesday, September 25, with the Rev. Richard Tusky of St. Francis of Assisi Church officiating. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.
