Alba Evelyn Kelley, 96, of Hiram, Ohio, formerly of Bentleyville, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, in Hospice of Western Reserve, Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born March 25, 1917, in Allison, a daughter of the late Pete and Josephine Zeli Gregori.
A homemaker, Mrs. Kelley was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bentleyville and attended Middlefield Methodist Church while living in Ohio.
In her senior years, she enjoyed taking vacations, especially cruises, with her daughter, Alberta.
Mrs. Kelley was active in the 55+ Club, lunch bunch and sight support at Ravenwood. She was a former member of Bentleyville Lioness Club.
A self-taught seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, tatting, cooking and baking. The hand-crafted items she entered in county fairs, both in Pennsylvania and Ohio, always won her ribbons.
Mrs. Kelley was loved by everyone. Her boundless energy and dedicated love and loyalty to her family were trademarks of her personality.
Surviving are a daughter, Alberta “Bertie” Deliere of Hiram; a son, Leroy Keith Kelley (Bonnie) of Lebanon, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Deliere (Betsy), Yvonne Deliere-White, Dan Kelley (Gina) and Lisa Baldwin (R. T.); 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter, Opal Taylor Deliere; and a sister, Lenora “Bug” Bular of Bentleyville.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Leroy K. Kelley, who died July 20, 1988; four brothers, Dominic “Bum” Fiem, Joseph Fiem, Louis Fiem and Frank “Frick” Fiem; and two sisters, Nancy Snyder and Rose Marinkovich.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, with Pastor Andy Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
