Lynn Wayne Bennett
Enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren
Lynn Wayne Bennett was born in Canonsburg July 14, 1951. On September 25, 2013, she was able to receive a personal hug from her God.
She was a daughter of Samuel and Almira Terrell, both who were waiting for her in heaven.
She was the loving and devoted mother of Elaina, Almira (Bill Smigel), Shannon and Samuel Bennett; dear sister of Marna and Scott Terrell; cherished grandmother of Samantha and Cameron Bennett, Kristopher, Kelly, David and Devia Shield, Citana and Aidan Bennett and Alexis and LaLaisa Wheeler; great-grandmother of Alaina and Nathaniel Shields; great-grandmother of Alaina and Nathaniel Shields; aunt of Kevin, Jason, Troy, Gregory, JaJuan and Tyree Terrell; and aunt of Kia Terrell. Also surviving are two daughters she claimed as her own, Dawn McElhany and Venice Hassan; aunt and uncle Bobby and Bessie Brown; and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her family believes numerous aunts and uncles are in heaven hugging her. She is now able to kiss her niece who she raised as her daughter, and missed tremendously. She leaves behind a host of friends who deeply loved “Miss Lynn.” She was the rock of her family and focused on making sure her children stayed close. She enjoyed spending time with her children, and especially with her grandchildren. She will be sorely and deeply missed by her children and all who loved her.
