Blaine Walter Ziemba Jr., 66, of Thornton, Colo., formerly of Washington, died Monday, January 27, 2014, following a brief illness.

A son of the late Blaine Ziemba Sr. and Josephine Pozniak Ziemba of Johnstown, Mr. Ziemba was born September 5, 1947, in Johnstown. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

After graduating from Sul Ross State University in Texas, he worked for Kurtz Bros. in Clearfield for 35 years. He moved to Colorado, along with his wife, in June 2013 to be closer to their grandsons.

Mr. Ziemba enjoyed golf, traveling, hiking the Colorado Mountains, sports and playing ball with his grandsons.

In April 1972, he married Annette Kulic, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Brian Ziemba (Sam Pittman) of Pittsburgh; daughter Jennifer (Billy) Keith of Colorado; grandchildren Braden and Max Keith; brother Leonard (Karen) Ziemba of Johnstown; sisters Harriet Ziemba of Johnstown and Stephanie (David) Wright of Bethel Park; and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. At 10 a.m. Thursday, February 6, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, West Chestnut Street, Washington. Those wishing to attend the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
