Enjoyed caring for wildlife
Harold F. Plants, 76, of Claysville, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in his home.
He was born December 26, 1937, in Claysville, a son of Jesse Raymond Plants and Nellie Brownlee Plants.
Mr. Plants worked for 84 Agway for 25 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed caring for wildlife and mowing grass with his farm tractor.
On April 27, 1990, he married Lorna Goslin, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Frank A. Plants (Cheri) of East Finley and Austin Cole of Claysville; a daughter, Tina M. Brown of Maryland; two stepdaughters, Christen Glass (Christopher) of Claysville and Amanda Cole-Rush (James) of Washington; a brother, Jay Plants (Beth) of Claysville; and six grandchildren, Faith, Kayla, Matthew, Liam, Autumn and Joey.
Deceased are a grandson, Christopher; two brothers, Blaine and Thomas Plants; and six sisters, Marilyn Sprowls, Mary Lou Armistead, Shirley Plants, Nancy Varner, Joann Kovach and Dale Plants.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
