Doris M. Geary Fraudin

Center Presbyterian Church lifetime member

Doris M. Geary Fraudin, 93, of Canonsburg, formerly of McMurray and Overbrook, passed away peacefully February 6, 2014, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg, with her family by her side.

She was born November 1, 1920, in Peters Township, a daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Doman Geary.

Mrs. Fraudin was a lifetime member of Center Presbyterian Church of McMurray, where she lived for many years.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed visits and outings with her friends.

Mrs. Fraudin had worked at the former Sun Drug Store in South Hills Village, where she met Jules Paul Fraudin. They were married November 10, 1972. He passed away November 26, 1978.

Surviving are a niece, Audrey Washabaugh (Robert); a great-niece, Robin Smith (Kenneth); two great-nephews, Robert (Rebecca) and John Washabaugh; several great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews; and the staff of Townview, who she considered her second family.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Phyllis Geary and Edith Crawford, and a nephew, William Washabaugh.

At the request of the deceased, all services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home, Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center, 300 Barr Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317, where Mrs. Fraudin comfortably resided her last few months.
