Harry “Mike” Bozick, 86, of Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014, in Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, after a brief illness.
He was born March 21, 1927, in German Township, Fayette County, a son of Ruby and Michael Bozick.
Mr. Bozick was married to Gloria Thorson Bozick from October 30, 1948, until her death in 2004.
He was an avid football fan.
Mr. Bozick was proud of his service in the U.S. Army during World War II, and his many years of work as a coal miner for Gateway Coal Co.
He was Methodist.
Surviving are children Michael (Amy) Bozick of Marianna, Pamela Karolewics Riggenbach of Waynesburg and Ted J. Bozick of Virginia; grandchildren Thomas (Tionne) Karolewics, John (Caren) Karolewics, Brandy Karolewics, Adam Karolewics, Tasha (Gavin) Todd and Ted Bozick Jr.; five great-grandchildren; siblings Mildred (Andrew) Basista, Rose Buchan, John Bozick, Katherine Stol, and Joann Sidgreaves; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are siblings Dorothy Bozick, Helen Ulicne and Stella Dean.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10:30 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Wednesday, February 12, in Frank Burkus Funeral Home, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, PA 15348, with the Rev. Thomas Lyn officiating.
