Coast Guard veteran
John Bulboff Jr., 83, of Monongahela, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, in Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown.
He was born May 4, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a son of John “Buffalo” and Betty Palangio Bulboff.
For numerous years, he had resided in Florida and North Carolina, before moving back to Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bulboff was a plumber, retiring in 2000 from S&S Mechanical in Statesville, N.C.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Monongahela.
Mr. Bulboff was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He was a former member of American Legion Post 377 in California.
Surviving are a son, John Bulboff and wife Julie of Coal Center; a granddaughter, Fallon Bulboff; and a sister, Connie Bartolotta of Monongahela.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Jo Ann Mellor Bulboff, who died October 7, 1995, and a sister, Audrey Weltz.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, with the Rev. Gerald Demarest officiating. Entombment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 630 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063.
