Loved spending time with grandchildren
Kathleen Dulaney, 63, of Colliers, W.Va., died Thursday, February 6, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born July 6, 1950, in Madera, Calif., a daughter of the late Lawrence “Larry” and Rosemary Mendoza.
Mrs. Dulaney was a graduate of Madera High School and earned a master’s degree in nursing.
She worked at various hospitals, while traveling with her husband in the military. She most recently worked at St. Agnes Hospital in California.
Mrs. Dulaney enjoyed volunteering with Veterans of Foreign Wars, especially for fundraisers to help disabled veterans. She coached her children’s softball teams from the time they were six years old until 18. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, as well as her dogs.
In August 1968, she married Kinsey Dulaney, in Madera, with whom she shared more than 45 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children, Kimberly (Tony) Marqardt of Bakersfield, Calif., Sean (Kimberly) Dulaney of San Francisco, Calif, and Sarah (Bradley) Bohnisch of Madera; a sister, Janice Jones of Fresno, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington. Private services will be held at the family’s convenience.
