Enjoyed playing basketball and guitar

Samuel H. Dungee Jr., 53, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Saturday, February 8, 2014, in his home, following a lengthy illness.

He was born February 16, 1960, in Washington, a son of Samuel H. Dungee Sr. and Veora Bates Dungee Davis.

Mr. Dungee was a 1979 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. He had been employed at the former Ernie’s Esquire, McMurray, and Fort Pitt Bridge Works, Canonsburg.

Mr. Dungee enjoyed playing basketball and the guitar, and watching boxing.

Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Talisa King (Corey) of Duluth, Ga.; three sisters, Donna Ebore (Eugene) of Houston, Shirley Evans of McKeesport and Linda Ebore of Washington; a brother, David Dungee (Sandi) of San Antonio, Texas; his caregiver and niece, Tosha Johnson of Washington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, February 13, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Joseph Wheeler.
