Veteran was former Houston resident

Thomas S. “T.B.” Bucci, 66, of Clearwater Beach, Fla., formerly of Houston, died Friday, January 31, 2014, in Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Florida, with his wife by his side. He died after a 12-year battle with multiple sclerosis.

He was born March 21, 1947, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Thomas and Angeline Falcocchio Bucci. He was a 1965 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and attended the former Robert Morris College, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Mr. Bucci served in the U.S. Navy and later in the Army National Guard Reserves.

He was in the restaurant business and managed and owned restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. In 1996, he retired and moved to Florida for health reasons.

On August 17, 2009, he married Patricia Lynne Morgan Franco, who survives. She was his faithful caregiver until his passing.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sisters, Janet (Paul) Setto of Canonsburg and Carole (John) Mancuso of Washington; a brother, James (Erla) Bucci of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind his beloved calico cat, Xena.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Deanna (Merwyn) McCracken.

A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 2 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Saturday, February 15, in South Canonsburg Church, 12 South Central Avenue, Canonsburg, with the Rev. Steven Parkhill officiating.
