Elder of First Presbyterian Church

Nancy Jane Wightman Dreyer, 80, of Ellsworth, died Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2014, in Kade Nursing Center, Washington.

She was born May 17, 1933, in Ellsworth, a daughter of Henry Dale Wightman and Sarah Lilley Wightman.

She was a 1951 graduate of Ellsworth High School. Mrs. Dreyer worked as a laboratory technician for John J. Kane Hospital in Bridgeville and also worked at Subway in Bentleyville. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bentleyville, where she was an elder. She was also a member of the former Somerset Club.

On October 7, 1972, she married Duane Dale Dreyer, who died October 9, 1989.

Surviving are her stepchildren, Allen Keith Dreyer of Washington, Rhonda K. Amos of Bentleyville and Eric P. Dreyer of Ellsworth; stepgrandchildren Robin Keener (Gary) and Raymond Hanning; six stepgreat-grandchildren; siblings Mary Lois Knapp (Avril) of Largo, Fla., Dorothy Tennyson (John) of Jackson, Mich., and Sarah Bennett (Robert) of Baltimore, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers, John Wightman and Henry “Hank” Wightman.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, February 17, in First Presbyterian Church, 812 Main Street, Bentleyville, with Pastor Andy Scott officiating.
