Bernard J. “Bernie” Rattenni Jr., 71, of Pittsburgh, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014, in Pittsburgh after being ill.

He was born August 3, 1942, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Bernard J. Rattenni Sr. and Evelyn Defalco Rattenni.

He was a 1961 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.

Mr. Rattenni was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses April 7, 1962, and was a member of Pittsburgh Chinese Congregation.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Kathy; two daughters, Julie Hansen, wife of Solon, living in Tuxedo Park, N.Y., and Melissa Lojan, wife of David, who are serving as missionaries in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa; and a brother, Richard Rattenni, husband of Jean, of Canonsburg.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his first wife, Nancy.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 22, in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2401 Raven Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15210.
