Member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church

A. Rosella Vereb, 79, of Burgettstown, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

She was born May 2, 1934, in Francis Mine, a daughter of the late Dennis Daniel and Agnes Boken Harshall.

Mrs. Vereb was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown.

Surviving are children George (Diana) Vereb of Pittsburgh, Jerry Vereb of Fort Mill, S.C., Mary (Jack) Okorn of Atlasburg, and Michael Vereb of Canonsburg; a son-in-law, Matthew Rozmus of Burgettstown; a sister, Eileen Felton of Cherry Valley; and 12 grandchildren, Josh, Jeffrey, Leah, Zackery, Jacob, Jordan, Rachael, Zachary, Dejanira, Noah, Wyatt and Gunnar.

On August 14, 1954, she married George R. Vereb, who died July 16, 2004.

Also deceased are a daughter, Teresa Rozmus, and a son Stanley Vereb.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 20, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Burgettstown, with the Rev. John Sweeney, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
