Homemaker who enjoyed time with family

Emily M. Phillips, 94, of Waynesburg, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, because of a short illness.

She was born Monday, September 29, 1919, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Charles Ross Waychoff and Debra Johnson Waychoff.

Mrs. Phillips lived her entire life in Greene County.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and very hard worker.

On April 7, 1936, she married Charles I. Phillips, who died November 13, 2000.

Surviving are two daughters, Dixie (Oliver) Stockdale of Waynesburg and Letha A. (Ted) Longstreth of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, Gregory (Nancy) Stockdale of New York, Erin (Brad) Patterson of Waynesburg, Beth Sadlek of Mt. Lebanon, Brian (Melody) Longstreth of Waynesburg, Chuck (Jane) Longstreth of Ruff Creek and Misti (Jason) Toothman of Core, W.Va.; 11 great-grandchildren, Kari and Jennifer Stockdale, Emily Fraas, Lauren and Ian Patterson, Nate and Olivia Sadlek, Lindsey Longstreth, Cara and Jenna Longstreth and Jacey Toothman; a great-great-grandson, Adam Fraas; a sister, Dorothy Anderson of Waynesburg; a brother, Butch Waychoff; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sisters, Juanita and Dolly, and four brothers, Ross, Jim, Johnny and Sam Waychoff.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Benjamin Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
