Vietnam War veteran

Robert L. Lauze, 68, of Washington, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Canonsburg Hospital.

He was born November 9, 1945, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Raymond and Martha Brehm Lauze.

Mr. Lauze was a 1963 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Lauze worked for Washington-East Washington Joint Authority, retiring in 2004. He was a member and former officer of Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education.

Mr. Lauze enjoyed golf, loved jazz music and was a motorcycle and Corvette enthusiast.

On June 3, 1972, he married Dwana “Dee” Jennings, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Jason Lauze (Jamie) of Strabane; and three grandchildren, Marissa Lauze, Hunter Stubbs and Krista Stubbs.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. Full military rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg.
