Enjoyed walking every day

Mary “Peg” Ingram Jewell, 69, of Waynesburg, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Tuesday, November 14, 1944, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Calvin Ingram and Aldine Kiger Ingram.

Mrs. Jewell was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Gordon Hill.

She enjoyed walking every day, when her health permitted. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and was a homemaker.

On August 23, 1962 she married her husband, Jerry R. Jewell, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sherry (Todd) Hildreth of White, Ga.; a son, Terry (Theresa) Jewell of Cranberry Township; five grandchildren; a sister, Cathy Shimek of Waynesburg; a brother, George Ingram of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased, visitation and services will be private, with the Rev. William Parker officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Morgan Township, Greene County.
