Louise J. Yakubik, 91, of Bentleyville, died Wednesday, February 20, 2014, in her home.
She was born March 1, 1922, in Vanceville, a daughter of the late Orion and Sevilla Weaver Hibbs.
A homemaker, Mrs. Yakubik enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, sewing and baking.
Surviving are nine children, Shirley Ullery (Bill) of Carmichaels, Anna Lambert (Wilmer “Bodie”) of Coal Center, Helen Gayman (Robert) of Marianna, Stephen Yakubik (Erin) of Brownsville, John Yakubik (Artie) of Charleroi, Rose Lambert (Henry A.) of California, Virginia Kimell (Randy) of Donora, Ron Yakubik (Deb) of Fredericktown and Donna Mesher (Rich) of Speers; four stepsons, George Yakubik Jr. of Washington, Pete Yakubik (Annie) of Cambridge, Jerry Yakubik (Allison) of San Francisco, Calif., and Paul Yakubik (Charlotte) of Henderson, Nev.; 37 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild, Leo; three sisters, Thelma Holmes of McMurray, Helen Stang of Bentleyville and Stella Franks of Bentleyville; two brothers, Harry Hibbs of Jefferson and Alvin Hibbs of Shipshewada, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, George D. Yakubik Sr., died July 23, 1993.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a stepson, Joseph Yakubik; a grandson who died in infancy; a great-grandson, Jessie Speggel; two sisters, Clara Hough and Alma Poling; and two brothers, Ray and Ivan Hibbs.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 24, with the Rev.
