James Bert Monar
Loving husband, father
James Bert Monar, 71, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who was a gentle man and easy to love.
Mr. Monar attended West Virginia University and was a graduate of West Liberty State College in 1966 with a bachelor of arts in education.
Surviving are his wife, Sara E. Monar; daughters and sons-in-law Sharon and Steven Rexrode and Joy and Kyle Rottkamp; son Stephen James Monar; and grandchildren Thomas and Audrey Rexrode and Alex and Emma Rottkamp.
He leaves behind Mack, the family cat.
Services were February 19 in Lotz Funeral Home Chapel, Vinton, Va. Interment followed in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, Va.
