Homemaker loved reading

Regina M. Monas, 83, of Mather, died Friday, February 21, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born February 25, 1930, in Jacktown, a daughter of the late Clifford and Lena Thomas Nevling.

Mrs. Monas was a 1947 graduate of Center Township High School.

She was a homemaker, who loved reading and doing crossword puzzles.

On April 13, 1951, she married James Edward Monas, who died April 15, 1997.

Surviving are four children, Donna Rossman and husband Mel of Streetsboro, Ohio, Jim Monas and wife Lana of Mather, Terry Monas and wife Jill of Jefferson and Lisa Bosnic and husband Gary of Washington; seven grandchildren, Craig and Adam Rossman, Alec Bosnic, Jilissa Kennedy, Janelle Hurd and Charles and Brent Yatchum; 10 great-grandchildren.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a sister, Dorothy Pyle.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, February 24, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Interment in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial to Donnell House, Hospice Care Inc. of the Washington Hospital, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301. Condolences may be expressed at www.behm-funeralhomes.com.
