1927-2014

Irene L. Moore, 86, of Dilliner, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 23, 2014, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born August 13, 1927, a daughter of the late Calvin Deemer and Carrie Biers Deemer.

Also deceased are her husband, Elmer E. Moore, whom she married December 31, 1954; a son, Matthew Moore; four sisters; and three brothers.

Mrs. Moore was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church of Dilliner.

She enjoyed spending her days with her sister-in-law Alfaretta Miles and grandchildren Johnathan, Maria and Logan Moore and Elizabeth Riggleman.

Surviving are a son, James Colwell and wife Cindy of Pittsburgh; a daughter-in-law, Lori Moore of Dilliner; five grandchildren, Courtney, Megan and Carrie Colwell, and Johnathan and Maria Moore; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Duplaga, Max Taylor and Logan Moore; a brother, Frank Deemer; a sister, Elva “Sally” Lowe; a sister-in-law, Alfaretta Miles; and a niece, Virginia Lee Lutz.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until 1 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, February 27, in Louis E. Rudolph Funeral Home, Thomas B. Rudolph, director/supervisor, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, with the Rev. William Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to National MS Society, Western PA Chapter, 1501 Reedsdale Street, Pittsburgh, PA.
