1918-2014

Edna Earle Davis Malone, 95, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 20, 1918, in Kentucky, a daughter of the late James Luther and Annie E. Seay Davis.

Mrs. Malone was a member of First Church of Christ in Burgettstown.

She was a caregiver to the elderly and babysitter to many friends and family, she also worked at Bobby Brooks in Washington.

Her husband, Rennison M. Malone, passed away August 31, 1989.

Surviving are children James Malone of Burgettstown, with whom she made her home; daughters Laurel Farkas and husband Charles of White Oak, Carol Thomas and husband Joseph of Wildwood, Fla., and Rennie Staniech and husband George of White Oak; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Walter Allen Malone and a daughter, Valjene Kotouch.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, with the Rev. Dan Ekas officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Burgettstown Kid’s Center, 1505 Main Street, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
