Frances I. Warco, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington, following a brief illness.

She was born December 3, 1928, in Perryopolis, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Kurucz Grast.

Mrs. Warco was employed by Kade Nursing Facility as a cook for many years, until her retirement.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Mrs. Warco was a 1946 graduate of Trinity High School.

She enjoyed crafts, knitting, quilting, reading and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Warco was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.

On May 22, 1949, she married Kazimer Warco, who survives.

Also surviving are children Daniel (Maria) Warco of Florida, Terrence (Sue) Warco of Lancaster, Joseph (Kathie) Warco of Washington and Rebecca Beeton of Washington; and six grandchildren, Amanda and Lydia Warco, Matthew (Mary Kate) Warco, Emily Warco and Brandon and Lora Beeton.

Deceased are a sister, Marianne Frantz, and an infant son, Frank Warco.

There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, February 28, in Immaculate Conception Church, West Chestnut Street, Washington. The public is welcome to attend the Mass. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
